‘In the oil and gas industry, we all have a duty of care to protect the natural environment. GRL has developed a suite of Subsea Engineering and Operational software tools that help our clients minimise the duration and number of occasions they undertake invasive actions in what we all recognise are fragile offshore and subsea environments.’
 Health & Safety
GRL considers health and safety (H&S) at work to be of fundamental importance. We have always striven to create a humane organisation, where people matter. This clearly applies to our own employees, but it also affects those with whom we collaborate, and for whom we provide our professional skills.
We do not think that H&S is an imposition. It is part of our management process and, properly integrated, it will create a better and more economical product. It is our policy to take into account in all activities the requirements of all relevant H&S law, and to continuously seek improvement wherever possible and appropriate.
In particular it is our policy to provide adequate time and resources to:
- ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety, and welfare at work of all employees including temporary and contract staff, and of other persons affected by our actions
- provide such H&S training, specialist advice, information, instruction, and supervision as may be necessary to personnel at all levels
- provide means of consultation on H&S matters for all employees, and other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions
- keep the measures taken to promote H&S under regular review
- integrate H&S considerations into our design and business decisions
- set measurable performance targets
- monitor our performance in complying with this policy
